This is how to plan your next social media post from a standing start.

Pick up a book next to you and flick to a page or read the first 5 posts in your newsfeed.

Pop the TV on, watch for 5 minutes.

Listen to a relevant podcast related to your audience.

List the topics that are being covered in what you read/heard/watched.

Now break those down into sub topics.

Finally, make the sub topics relevant to your work.

And create a piece of content about it.

For example, what you may or may not know about us is that as a hobby, we have a little travel business on the side and help others to do this for themselves too.

For fun, I spend a LOT of time in travel groups and on travel websites, talking and thinking about holidays.

Now, a Caribbean AI holiday isn’t directly relevant to helping business owners like you to write persuasive sales copy and engaging social media content in response, so you grow your reach, increase your impact, and generate more leads and sales.

However, when you follow this 4-step process, you can make any random topic inspire an idea for content that IS relevant.

1-Consume – Caribbean holiday.

2-Topic – deciding where to go.

3-Sub-topic – how we choose which holiday to book / how the decision is made.

4-Relevant headline – How to choose [something].

“What is a choice my ideal clients have to make that I have a view on?”

Headline – “How to choose the best niche for your business!”

Write or record a piece of content about choosing your niche.

Job done.
