Born with 70% hearing loss and diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 12, it was the diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa 25 years ago and the subsequent automatic revocation of her driving licence that motivated her to move her social life online.

After meeting her husband Bill through Facebook in 2008, they live-tweeted their wedding day. Several UK-based celebrities “attended” – as did their cat.

Ten years on, Veronica and Bill run the business from their UK home, working entirely online, generating six-figure sales.

When Disability, Diagnosis, and Driving Licence Revocation births a 6-figure business !

Born with 70% hearing loss, diagnosed with RA at the age of 12, it was the diagnosis of night blindness 25 years ago and automatic driving licence revocation that drove Veronica Pullen to move her social life online .

25 years on, the lessons she learnt about building online relationships (including her husband who she met through Facebook and married on Twitter) are now sought after by service-based owners who want to attract the attention of their paying clients online.

– building a 6-figure business for Veronica, enabled her husband to quit the full time job he hated, and the couple of move to Isle of Wight, UK .

When in 2012 Veronica required two cataract removal surgeries, her business income generated the funds to travel back to her home town and be operated on privately, by the same consultant who started her business journey when he revoked her licence all those years ago.

In a final twist to this story, the date appointed for the first cataract removal was the 27th anniversary of Veronica taking her driving test!
