Do you use your business page for business posts and prefer to keep your personal profile just for your friends?
I hear you.
Many coaches and experts feel the same way.
If you’re generating enough paying clients from your Facebook page already, then you’re good.
Nothing needs to change.
However, if you are posting on your page regularly but despair at your low reach and engagement…
If you want to reach and help more people so you can make a bigger impact – nationally or globally – without having to pay for ads yet…
If you do NOT have enough clients, and feel guilty at the amount of time you waste on Facebook…
Then consider this:
Say for example, you are a coach for women who want to quit sugar.
And say for example, you visit the biggest trade show in your space; the “Ideal Food Show”, to network and expand your learning.
Inside the show are people selling supplies and training around the mission of ‘ideal food’, others buying the supplies and training, and some people who are there to browse.
When you walk into the Ideal Food Show, you enter the event as yourself.
You’re not inside a cardboard box that has your logo plastered all over it.
It’s you.
As you meet and chat to people at the event, it’s your energy and personality they connect with initially.
At some point in the conversation, they might decide they want to work with you.
They may realise you could be the ideal person to help their friend who wants to quit sugar.
They ask if you have a brochure or website they can show their friend.
Your brochure is your (regularly updating) Facebook business page.
It’s where you showcase your expertise and offers.
You might have the best, most valuable and often updated brochure in the world, but how many people do you reckon would care enough to read your brochure if you’d left it open on an iPad on a table, and gone off shopping for the day?
It was YOU personally walking around the show, meeting and talking to people that got them intrigued and interested enough to want to read your brochure.
That ‘Ideal Food Show’ is Facebook.
It’s the conversations you have in your newsfeed and in other people’s Facebook groups using your PERSONAL profile that gets people interested in you.
Having piqued their interest, they’ll be much more likely to STOP SCROLLING when they see your posts (page or profile) in their newsfeed.
And having EARNT their attention, you’ll be the person they TRUST enough to hire, refer, and recommend.
