Don’t Risk Losing Your Facebook Pages By A Hoax

A warning about fake Facebook Notifications

I am hearing more and more of people seeing fake notifcations like these to alert the user their Facebook Page is about to be restricted.

Be Warned, this may look authentic but it is fake

Example One: Be Warned, this may look authentic but it is fake

Or like this:

Be Warned, this may look authentic but it is fake

Example Two: Be Warned, this may look authentic but it is fake

The one thing you need to know is that they are:

⚠️ Fake, fake, FAKE! ⚠️

Regards Facebook restricting your page:

❌You will NOT be pre-warned.

❌You will NEVER be notified of a breach via a tag on a page post.

❌ This is NOT a legit Facebook page.

❌ It’s also NOT a real security warning.

⚠️ DO NOT VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT as instructed because that will give them access and all sorts of mess will occur.

😱including you potentially losing your Facebook account and having to start again!

This also relates to any password reset emails you may receive, which I covered in this previous blog here.

Your Facebook Pages Do Not Have Guard Dogs So You Need To Be Alert

👉  If you haven’t already, take this as a reminder to set up 2-factor authorisation.

That means you will have to approve login attempts from unrecognised browsers and devices – an extra layer of security.

I explain more about 2FA in this short on my YouTube channel here.
