My mum brought me up as a single parent, on welfare benefits.

Women in her generation (she was born in 1929) were expected to stay at home while the father worked.

My dad (born in 1912) believed this too.

Any time she expressed interest in getting a job, he would say no.

That was his responsibility and hers was the home.

After he died when I was 6, she cleaned and shopped for a couple of elderly ladies who lived alone – a job that fitted around my school hours.

Seeing her ride her bicycle three miles each way to the ladies’ houses, in all weathers, to bring home £5 a week is why you will never hear me bitch about paying PayPal and Stripe fees.

I happily pay those fees as gratitude for the platform developers who enable me to make our household income without ‘having’ to leave the house, or ride a bike three miles in the rain for a fiver.

I digress…

The means-tested benefit rules meant she could not top up her income by more than the £5, without losing the extras – like housing benefit, free prescriptions and dentists.

She was financially powerless.

That’s why financial independence is my #1 personal priority.

With my sight and hearing impairments and limited mobility, I could in all likelihood tick the ‘unable to work’ box and repeat the cycle of my childhood.

That’s not my choice.

The Why Behind my Business

Instead, I chose workarounds – creating income in a business I have designed to work entirely around my own capacity.

Where my expertise, energy and embodiment of everything I teach is what clients value – not my ability to commute to someone else’s building and work 9-5.

That’s why my business mission is to empower people with the knowledge, support and sales assets to create the business YOU enjoy, making YOUR income, YOUR way, online.

So, no matter what your personal situation, you have choices.

So you never have to deny your needs, minimise yourself to fit someone else’s box, or give the government your power over your income because you cannot work full time for a boss who thinks working from home = lazy skiver.

And you have the freedom to make a consistent income online, doing ‘work’ you enjoy, helping clients who value your gifts, in a way that serves YOU.

Choices.

One way that I do this is by writing your offer’s sizzling sales copy so the value of your brilliant offer is clearly communicated to your dream clients – so they see your magic, and are excited to buy.

Another way I do this is to teach you compelling copywriting skills and support you to create your own sales copy and marketing content that converts, so you help more people in less time, and get paid well in exchange.

And another way is by telling you about other people’s offers that I have bought, used myself, and love, that I think will be valuable to you too.

Like Liz Wilcox’s Email Marketing Membership, a super low-cost ($9/month) weekly email template that will make it easy-peasy for you to send emails that your subscribers will read, reply to and buy from, so you grow an engaged audience who want what you offer.

Which one best fits your priorities?
