And a recommendation for another Netflix show to binge, that demonstrates why turning off your Wi-Fi and heading out to the shops isn’t an escape strategy either!


Veronica is surprised that so many people haven’t thought about the connection between Netflix/binge watching and this programme.

Many say if you don’t pay for the product you are the product. When you don’t pay for ‘the thing’ with money it means that you are paying with your data – this is what Facebook does.

However Veronica feels like you are also paying to be a product when you watch Netflix, we weren’t born to binge watch. Supermarkets do a similar thing, they have been designed for you to see what they want you to see and then buy it.

The key thing is to ‘be awake’ to all of these things. Choose to be conscious.
