PayPal have recently launched a new service that will enable you to quickly send receive payments to your existing PayPal account: PayPal.me.
When you register for the service, you’ll be asked to choose a username. PayPal will create a direct link that you can share in an email or anywhere online, that enables your customers, friends and family to easily and quickly send money to your existing PayPal account.
There are two ways you can use PayPal.me:
1: Share the link PayPal.me/yourusername to take people to your PayPal.me profile, and enable them to choose the amount they want to pay you, and send the payment directly to your account.
2/ Share the link PayPal.me/yourusername/amount to send people to a page where they can pay you a set amount.
E.g. PayPal.me/username/125.00 will enable them to send you £125.
It’s very simple to set up, and if you have a PayPal account, I recommend you take two minutes now to create your PayPal.me username before someone else claims it.
Oh no, that’s a shame. Hopefully it won’t be too long before you get access.
PayPal.me sounds great, but it seems that it isn’t available in Ireland yet (that’s the message I got when I went to the website for it). I hope it gets here soon though.
